Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Must obtain and maintain an Insurance Adjuster license within 90 days of hire, where applicable.
• Prior claim handling or business experience in insurance/customer service is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage an inventory of low to moderate complexity commercial claims, verify policy coverage and document files.
• Interact with insureds, claimants and partners, providing timely updates and efficient service.
• Verify coverage, establish reserves, and process disbursements within authority.
• Investigate to determine liability and compensability, including statements and expert consultations.
• Collaborate with internal and external resources to achieve best claim outcomes.
• Authorize disbursements and negotiate settlements within authority, escalating as needed.
• Identify subrogation, salvage opportunities or potential fraud for further action.
• Maintain compliance with state/local insurance regulations and company guidelines.
