Job summary

Qualifications

• High school Diploma required.
• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Must have or be able to obtain and maintain an Insurance Adjuster License within 90 days of hire.
• Prior claim handling, or business experience in the insurance industry and/or customer service is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages an inventory of low to moderate complexity commercial claims following protocols.
• Interacts professionally with insureds, claimants and partners to meet quality and cycle time standards.
• Verifies coverage, reserves and liability by reviewing policy language and case facts.
• Conducts investigations and records statements to determine claim facts.
• Collaborates with internal/external resources to achieve best outcomes.
• Authorizes disbursements within authority and negotiates settlements as appropriate.
• Identifies subrogation, salvage, or fraud opportunities and referrals for further action.
• Maintains regulatory compliance and accurate file documentation.
