Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; typically minimum four years in claim handling.
• Must obtain and maintain an Insurance Adjuster License within 90 days where applicable.
• Professional designations (e.g., CPCU) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage a moderate-to-high complexity commercial workers' compensation claims following company protocols.
• Investigate, verify coverage, develop resolution strategies and authorize disbursements within limits.
• Provide exceptional service with timely updates to insureds, claimants and partners.
• Verify coverage and establish reserves, collaborating with counsel on complex matters.
• Conduct focused investigations to determine compensability and liability.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to resolve claims efficiently.
• Negotiate settlements within authority and escalate to management when needed.
• Identify subrogation or fraud opportunities and refer to Recovery/SIU as appropriate.
• Ensure file quality, proper documentation, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Mentor less experienced claim professionals and support ongoing training.
