Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps members coach and mentor students across elementary to high school, helping them achieve academic success, improve attendance, and develop positive behaviors. You’ll plan and monitor progress and partner with teachers on classroom support.

We provide 2-4 weeks of training at the start of the year, plus ongoing guidance and a network of colleagues. This full-time entry-level role includes a bi-weekly living stipend and access to City Year benefits and AmeriCorps education

Qualifications

• No formal prerequisites required; training provided upon joining.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students to improve academic success and attendance.
• Plan and monitor individual student progress and collaborate with teachers.
• Support classroom instruction, small-group activities, and in-class student assistance.
• Contribute to school-wide initiatives to engage students and families.
