Job summary

Spectrum Center Schools and Programs, a ChanceLight division, is seeking an Instructional Aide to join our Special Education team for Grades K-12. You will support teachers, help implement IEPs, and assist students in acquiring essential academic and social skills. A strong commitment to student success is essential.

The role involves on-site work in our California facilities with opportunities for professional growth and meaningful impact on student outcomes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree or higher in education or a related field preferred.
• Hold a valid CA driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain crisis management training certification.
• Paraprofessional/teaching assistant credential preferred.
• Experience with children with learning disabilities or autism preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to support a welcoming learning environment.
• Provide individualized instruction and behavioral interventions.
• Monitor and document student progress and behaviors.
• Assist with implementing IEPs and goals.
• Support students in developing community, vocational, leisure, and social skills.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and communicate with families and staff.
