Job summary

Spectrum Center Schools and Programs in California is seeking an Instructional Aide to join our Special Education team and support students in Grades K-12. You will work with classroom teachers to implement IEPs, provide personalized instruction, and help students build essential skills in a caring, student-centered environment.

The role emphasizes collaboration, behavioral support, documentation, and ongoing growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or higher in education preferred.
• CA driver's license or ability to obtain one.
• Crisis management training certification preferred.
• Paraprofessional/teacher assistant credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to create a supportive learning environment.
• Implement individualized instruction aligned with each student’s goals.
• Monitor and document student progress and behavior.
• Communicate with teachers and families about student needs and successes.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and information.
• Assist with preparation of behavioral reports and activity logs.
