Job summary

Spectrum Center Schools and Programs seeks an Instructional Aide to support students in Grades K-12 within our Special Education team. You will assist with implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), provide personalized supervision and guidance in classrooms and community settings, and collaborate with teachers to help students reach their full potential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent w/ passage of basic skills test.
• Associate degree or higher in education or related field preferred.
• Ability to obtain/maintain CA driver license.
• Ability to obtain crisis management training certification.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to provide supportive, safe and high-achieving learning environments.
• Implement engaging, individualized instruction and behavior interventions on-site and in community settings.
• Monitor student progress and communicate with teachers regarding successes and intervention needs.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and complete timely documentation of behaviors and performance.
• Assist with preparation of behavioral reports, daily activity logs, and other documentation.
• Support students in developing community, vocational, leisure, academic and social skills.
