Job summary

Spectrum Center Schools and Programs seeks an Instructional Aide to support students in Grades K-12, assisting with IEP implementation and individualized instruction. The role involves classroom and community settings, collaboration with teachers, and confidentiality in handling student data.

The ideal candidate brings patience, empathy, and a strong work ethic, with experience in special education environments and the ability to manage behavioral supports and progress tracking.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree or higher preferred.
• CA driver’s license required or able to obtain.
• Crisis management training certification.
• Paraprofessional/teaching assistant credential preferred.
• Experience with special education or behavioral health settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing IEPs and tailored instructional support.
• Provide personalized supervision and guidance in classroom and community settings.
• Monitor student progress and communicate with teachers regularly.
• Document student behaviors and performance; prepare behavioral reports and activity logs.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and participate in accreditation activities.
