Job summary

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 30 semester hours college credit.
• Current Educational Aide certification or willingness to obtain TEA certification.
• Interest in working one-on-one with students with significant needs.
• Ability to physically assist students with self-help, mobility, and academic skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Special Education and General Education teachers with supervision of students in all instructional settings.
• Model and reinforce positive behavior using established techniques.
• Maintain data aligned with IEP goals and Behavior Intervention Plans.
• Tailor lessons to meet individual student needs.
• Support lesson planning and reinforce learning concepts.
• Assist students with self-help and academic skills.
• Provide one-to-one full-time support for a student with significant needs.
• Assist with administration and scoring of tests and assignments.
• Help implement accommodations/modifications.
• Adapt activities to support classroom objectives and transitions.
