Job summary

Family of Kidz is seeking a Behavior Consultant/BCBA to join our team on Eastern Long Island, NY. The role supports students with behavioral needs through FBAs, BIPs, and data-driven interventions, collaborating with school staff and families.

The position may be part-time on a fee-for-service basis or full-time with comprehensive benefits. Travel between assigned districts is based on caseload and interview discussions. Experience with IEPs, CSE, and HIPAA/FERPA compliance is required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, or related field.
• NYS BCBA, NYS BCABA Certification and/or LBA required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience working with children and families.
• NYS Driver's License and Proof of Insurance.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with school staff and families to develop individualized behavioral supports.
• Conduct FBAs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify function and intervention strategies.
• Design, implement, and monitor Behavior Intervention Plans aligned with student needs.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret behavioral data to evaluate progress and adjust interventions.
• Develop practical, classroom-based supports to promote independence and engagement.
• Provide coaching and feedback to staff to ensure proper implementation of strategies.
• Collaborate with school teams to support IEPs and behavioral programming.
• Participate in CSE meetings to present progress and needs.
• Maintain communication with supervisors and directors regarding progress and service delivery.
• Develop and deliver professional development workshops on behavior management.
