Job summary

Family of Kidz is seeking a Behavior Consultant/BCBA to support students with special needs in Suffolk County, NY. The role offers part-time, fee-for-service, or full-time options with a compensation range of $40-$75 per hour or $58,500-$75,000 annually, depending on caseload and licensure.

You will collaborate with school teams and families to design and implement evidence-based behavioral supports, FBAs, BIPs, and data-driven interventions.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in ABA, Special Education, Psychology, or related field.
• Certification: NYS BCBA, BCABA, or LBA required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience supporting children and families.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with school administrators, teachers, aides, and families to develop individualized, evidence-based behavioral supports.
• Conduct FBAs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify the function of behavior and develop interventions.
• Design, implement, and monitor Behavior Intervention Plans aligned with student needs and goals.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret behavioral data to evaluate progress and adjust interventions.
• Provide on-site coaching and modeling to classroom staff for consistent implementation.
• Support IEPs and CSE meetings to align behavioral programming with educational objectives.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records per HIPAA and FERPA.

Education

Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, Educational/Health/Human Services

NYS BCBA, NYS BCABA Certification and/or LBA

NYS Driver’s License
