Job summary

Family of Kidz in Nassau County, NY is seeking a Behavior Consultant / BCBA to partner with school administrators, teachers, aides, and families. You will develop individualized behavioral supports, conduct FBAs, and design effective BIPs aligned with educational goals.

The role requires data-driven analysis, ongoing coaching of staff, and collaboration with IEP teams. This position offers part-time or full-time options with a comprehensive benefits package and travel between districts.

Qualifications

• NYS Driver's License and Proof of Insurance.
• Master’s degree in ABA or related field with certification.
• Minimum of 1 year experience supporting children and families.

Responsibilities

• Partner with school staff and families to develop individualized behavioral supports.
• Conduct FBAs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify the function of behavior and develop interventions.
• Design, implement, and monitor BIPs aligned with student needs and goals.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data to evaluate progress and adjust interventions.
• Develop practical classroom-based behavioral supports for student independence and engagement.
• Provide ongoing coaching, modeling, and feedback to classroom staff.
• Collaborate with school teams to support IEPs and CSE meetings.
• Participate in CSE meetings to present progress and recommendations.
• Maintain communication with Supervisors and Directors regarding progress and needs.
• Develop and deliver professional development workshops on behavior management.
• Complete timely documentation including progress reports and data summaries.
• Travel between assigned school districts for on-site consultation.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records per HIPAA/FERPA and policies.
