Job summary

Resilience Behavioral Health of Illinois in Willowbrook, IL, seeks a Peer Support Specialist / Operations to support clients moving through treatment programs while also assisting with day-to-day site operations.

The role is full-time and on-site, leveraging lived recovery experience to foster engagement and provide administrative coordination for PHP, IOP, and outpatient tracks. Competitive hourly compensation with PTO and health insurance offered.

Qualifications

• CRSS credential strongly preferred; candidates actively working toward CRSS certification will also be considered.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience, ideally in a behavioral health, substance use treatment, or direct care setting.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support and mentorship to clients, sharing lived recovery experience to build trust and encourage engagement in treatment.
• Monitor the milieu and provide direct client supervision to help maintain a safe, structured, and supportive treatment environment.
• Support daily program operations, including client check-in and check-out, attendance tracking, and coordination between clinical and administrative staff.
• Assist clients with daily living needs, program orientation, and general questions, escalating clinical concerns to the appropriate clinician.
• Document client observations, incidents, and daily activity logs accurately and in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.
• Support scheduling and coordination of client transportation, groups, and appointments across PHP, IOP, and outpatient tracks.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming facility, including stocking supplies and flagging maintenance or safety needs to leadership.
• Provide general administrative support, such as answering phones, filing, and data entry, as needed by the operations team.
• Respond calmly and appropriately to de-escalate situations, following facility safety protocols.
