Job summary

Abbott in Madison, WI is seeking a Screening Sales Training Manager to lead commercial training for screening products, including new hire and ongoing education programs. You will collaborate with field sales, marketing, and customer service, and require onsite presence four days a week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, marketing, sales, or field as outlined in the essential duties.
• 5+ years of sales or commercial experience.
• 2+ years of experience working in a pharmaceutical, medical device, or diagnostics environment.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully work cross‑functionally with other departments and key stakeholders.
• Demonstrated understanding of molecular diagnostics and cancer screening tools.
• Demonstrated ability to distill high‑level scientific information into easily understood concepts for an audience with diverse educational backgrounds and experience.
• Demonstrated strong understanding of adult learning principles and ability apply those principles in a medical environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
• Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
• Legal authorization to work in the country of employment without current or future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Develop and align training with senior leadership and organizational objectives.
• Organize, design, and facilitate continuing education programs for the medical affairs team.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional partners to deliver learning opportunities across departments.
• Update, maintain, and deliver new hire training and ongoing learning initiatives.
• Utilize the learning management system (LMS) to organize training and identify learning gaps.
• Translate and communicate brand strategies to sales personnel through training mediums.
• Let leadership participate in national, area, and regional sales meetings with workshops.
• Assess learning gaps and design targeted programs to improve field effectiveness.
