Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hearing screens in hospital settings and educate families about early intervention. You will work on-site, handle data collection, and ensure timely uploading of results.

On-the-job training plus annual American Academy of Audiology accredited certification helps ensure accurate screens and high-quality patient education. This role emphasizes safety, confidentiality, and teamwork in a fast-paced hospital

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR certification or obtain on offer.
• Flexibility to work weekends and national holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens in hospital settings.
• Educate parents on the meaning and importance of screening.
• Collect data/demographics and document results per protocol.
• Upload screen results and state reporting by end of shift.
• Notify Site Supervisor of missed or refer babies and schedule follow-ups.
• Maintain proper PPE and safety/compliance procedures.
