Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform infant hearing screens in hospital settings.

You will work on-site at one or more locations, deliver screenings, and provide education to parents on the importance of early detection and intervention. The role includes ensuring accurate data collection, maintaining patient comfort, and coordinating with hospital staff to complete screenings each shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current CPR Certification or must obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform hearing screens on newborns in hospital settings.
• Evaluate patient readiness prior to screenings and screen eligible babies.
• Collect demographic data and document results per protocol.
• Educate parents on the importance of newborn hearing screens and early intervention.
• Upload results and ensure shift-end reporting and reconciliations.
• Notify supervisor of missed or refer babies and schedule follow-up appointments when needed.
• Maintain patient privacy and comply with PPE and safety policies.
