Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform on-site hearing screens for newborns in hospital settings. You will be trained on the job and may obtain annual certification through the American Academy of Audiology.

This role involves educating parents, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating follow-up appointments for refer babies. A compassionate approach and ability to work varied shifts are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR Certification or must obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays required.

Responsibilities

• Screen newborns for hearing when on shift.
• Collect data/demographics for each baby and ensure accurate documentation.
• Perform hearing screens and related services for eligible babies.
• Educate parents about the importance of hearing screens and results.
• Upload screen results and billing/state reporting by end of shift.
• Notify Site Supervisor of missed or final refer babies.
• Schedule outpatient appointments for refer babies.
• Other duties as assigned.
