Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hospital-based hearing screens on newborns and educate families about the importance of early intervention. We provide on-the-job training with annual certification by the American Academy of Audiology, and require a high school diploma and CPR certification, with weekend and holiday availability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current CPR Certification or must obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays required.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all company and facility policies and procedures including PPE, vaccinations and safety protocols.
• Evaluate patient readiness before screening (fed, quiet, calm).
• Collect data/demographics, perform hearing screens, and document results for each eligible baby.
• Provide care and education to families about the screening process and results.
• Upload screen results and billing/state reporting by end of shift; reconcile statistics.
• Screen efficiently without compromising quality or patient education/satisfaction.
• Notify Site Supervisor of missed or referred babies and arrange follow-up when needed.
• Schedule outpatient appointments for refer babies when appropriate.
