Job summary

Sun Loan Company in Danville, IL is seeking a Loan Specialist to support branch operations. You will process loan applications, assemble documents, and ensure regulatory compliance while assisting customers with payment arrangements and extensions.

You will help close loans, perform collection calls on overdue accounts, and maintain accurate data in the loan management system. Overtime may be required, with Saturdays on rotation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience in any field.
• 6 months of collections experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and active listening skills are required.
• Excellent organizational skills with multitasking ability and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist in loan processing and document assembly to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Contact customers regarding payment arrangements and extensions as needed.
• Close loans by explaining all requirements and ensuring accuracy of paperwork.
• Make collection calls on overdue accounts and document notes in the system.
• Enter payments and maintain accurate customer data in loan management software.
• Sell ancillary products where appropriate to support account growth.
• Maintain loan documents and ensure compliance with company guidelines and laws.
