Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group in Eatontown, NJ is seeking an Instructional Support Paraprofessional to assist teachers in supporting students with diverse needs. You will provide one-on-one, small group, and classroom support, reinforce lessons, and help students develop academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and life skills in collaborative settings.

Ideal candidates have experience with children or individuals with special needs, strong communication, and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with children or individuals with special needs preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructional plans and behavioral strategies.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one, small-group, and classroom-wide instructional support.
• Reinforce teacher-led lessons, instructional activities, and classroom routines.
• Assist students with academic tasks, assignments, and skill development activities.
• Support implementation of IEPs, accommodations, and classroom modifications as directed.
• Help students remain engaged, focused, and actively participating in classroom activities.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, therapists, administrators, and other educational professionals.
• Maintain accurate documentation and student records as required by the assignment.
