Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group, LLC seeks dedicated Instructional Support Paraprofessionals for the 2026-2027 school year in New Jersey. You will work with teachers and specialists to support students’ academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and life skills in a school setting.

You will provide one-on-one, small-group, and classroom support, reinforcing instruction and assisting with IEPs. The role emphasizes collaboration, adaptability, and compassionate student engagement.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one, small-group, and classroom-wide instructional support.
• Reinforce teacher-led lessons and classroom routines.
• Assist students with academic tasks and skill development activities.
• Support implementation of IEPs, accommodations, and modifications as directed.
• Help students stay engaged and participate in activities.
• Develop academic, communication, social-emotional, organizational and life skills.
• Apply positive reinforcement and behavior-support strategies under staff direction.
• Monitor student participation, progress and behavior; report observations to the school team.
• Prepare classroom materials and learning resources.
• Assist with transitions, arrival, dismissal, lunch, recess, and community-based instruction.
