Job summary

Community Partners in Action (CPA) seeks a Per Diem Human Services Worker for the Waterbury Transitional Housing program in Waterbury, CT. The role requires working all shifts, including weekends and holidays, with a minimum of 24 hours per month.

The hourly rate is $20.00, and the position supports residents through supervision, advocacy, and crisis intervention. The ideal candidate has a HS diploma/GED (associates or bachelor’s preferred), experience with justice-involved clients, a CT

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in human services with justice-involved clients preferred.
• Must have valid CT driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Bilingual ability (Spanish/English) desired.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor resident activities per program policies.
• Advocate for participants and encourage program participation.
• Mediate resident conflicts in a solutions-focused manner.
• Maintain professional boundaries with residents, staff, and visitors.
• Model professional conduct and uphold ethics and confidentiality.
• Promote respect, empathy, and elimination of bias in the workplace.
• Assist with meeting resident needs and documenting activities.
