Job summary

Reed in Partnership is hiring an Employment Adviser to support jobseekers with tailored guidance, CV writing, and interview preparation. You will work with local employers and promote the Restart Scheme, delivering personalised support to help participants overcome barriers and progress into employment.

You will join the Employability Division, with a base salary and flexible scheduling, plus development opportunities and benefits.

Qualifications

• Coaching/mentoring experience and persuasion/influencing skills.
• Experience in a customer facing environment (Customer Services, Hospitality, Social Care, Sales).
• Experience in a fast paced, performance target driven environment.
• Willingness to travel locally (e.g. to meet customers/employers).
• A minimum of 2 A-Levels or an equivalent Level 3 Diploma.
• GCSE English Language at Grade B or Level 2 literacy.

Responsibilities

• Meeting with and supporting a caseload of long-term unemployed jobseekers, identifying barriers and creating tailored action plans to progress into employment.
• Delivering personalised, one-to-one guidance including CV writing, interview preparation, and skills development.
• Meeting and exceeding performance targets and KPIs.
• Collaborating with participants to shift mindset and build confidence to find and sustain work.
• Engaging with local employers to identify job opportunities.
• Signposting participants to internal and external stakeholders to address barriers such as health, housing, or finances.
• Promoting the Restart Scheme within the community and its benefits and impact.
• Providing inclusive support to people from all backgrounds.
