Job summary

Knowledge Services, located in Indianapolis, is seeking an Eligibility Specialist to process applications for Indiana public assistance programs (TANF, SNAP, Medicaid). You will verify data, manage documents, and determine eligibility, working Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

A related degree or relevant experience is preferred, with a focus on client service and accuracy. The role offers benefits and a 37.5-hour work week in a supportive team environment, serving Indiana residents

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Associate degree in Counseling or Social Services preferred; HS diploma acceptable.
• 2 years' experience in a social service environment preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
• Self-starter, reliable with strong customer service.
• Experience in case management and eligibility roles encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Gather data for relevant assistance programs with clients.
• Verify information meets state policies.
• Obtain release forms and medical records as needed.
• Verify income, assets, and other documents.
• Explain regulations and program requirements to clients.
• Use automated system to determine eligibility for programs.
• Enter data into state databases.
• Respond to inquiries by phone or email promptly.
