Department of Economic Security (DES) is seeking an Eligibility Interviewer to determine eligibility for Nutrition Assistance, Medical Assistance, and Cash Assistance in an in-office setting across Arizona. The role offers full-time hours, comprehensive paid training, and strong benefits.

As a member of the Division of Benefits and Medical Eligibility, you will work directly with clients, collect information, and enter data while ensuring accuracy and excellent customer service throughout the

Qualifications

• Knowledge in: Customer service practices.
• Knowledge in: Computer navigation of various software applications including Google Suite or Microsoft.
• Skills in: Professional written and verbal communication.
• Skills in: Customer friendly, empathetic and patient demeanor.
• Skills in: Computer experience; typing and navigating multiple screens while talking to the client by phone.
• Ability to: Core math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in-person and by telephone in a fast-paced office.
• Attend paid classroom training with on-the-job training.
• Provide excellent customer service to individuals and families facing challenging situations.
• Collect information to conduct interviews to determine eligibility for Medical, Nutrition, and Cash Assistance.
• Enter data during interviews and use multiple screens.
• Adhere to agency standards measured by metrics, attendance, service levels, accuracy, and timeliness.
