Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC is hiring a Direct Support Mentor in Statesville/Yadkin area for full-time work. The role provides direct support to individuals with IDD, mental health, and substance use challenges in residential and day settings.

The position includes mentorship, training responsibilities, and ensuring comprehensive staff coverage across shifts. Responsibilities include assisting people supported to pursue personal outcomes, collaborating with the Interdisciplinary Team, and upholding

Qualifications

• Must have a High school diploma or GED.
• Prefer experience working with IDD individuals.
• At least one year of experience working with the population served.
• Must have a valid driver’s license (this is a condition of employment) including personal vehicle insurance coverage.
• Maintain CPR and First Aid certification, Med Tech and NCI certifications and other core competency training.

Responsibilities

• Assist people supported to identify personal outcomes that align with their goals and preferences.
• Support the interdisciplinary team to identify needed supports for personal outcomes.
• Promote dignity, respect, and quality of life for people supported.
• Provide opportunities for choice and help individuals exercise control over their environment.
• Report incidents of abuse, neglect, or exploitation immediately.
• Maintain cleanliness of group homes and vehicles, and monitor maintenance needs.
