Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC is hiring Direct Support Mentors in Statesville/Yadkin for full-time roles. The position provides mentorship and leadership to Direct Support Employees, ensuring coverage across three shifts and training for new staff.

The role supports individuals with IDD, mental health, and related needs in residential/day settings. Ideal candidates are patient, compassionate, and have a calming demeanor under stress.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Prefer experience working with IDD individuals.
• At least one year of experience with the population served.
• Must have a valid driver’s license including personal vehicle insurance.
• Must maintain CPR and First Aid certification, Med Tech and NCI certifications.
• Must be clinically supervised by a qualified professional as required by licensure or service definitions.
• Must demonstrate CPR proficiency from floor level.
• Must pass criminal background, pre-employment drug screening, healthcare registry check, and motor vehicle registry check.

Responsibilities

• Mentor, train, lead and coach Direct Support Employees.
• Assist with staff coverage across three shifts.
• Support individuals in identifying personal outcomes and achieving goals.
• Promote dignity, respect, and quality of life for people receiving services.
• Provide opportunities for choice and self-determination.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of homes and vehicles.
• Deliver training and mentorship to new Direct Support Employees.
