Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Food Service Director to lead the dining department at a long-term care facility. You will oversee food quality, safety, inventory, and customer service while ensuring adherence to menus and regulatory requirements.

You will train and support the food service team, maintain records using HCSG software, and coordinate with clients, staff, and administrators to deliver high-quality dining experiences. Residency within the service area is required.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills essential.
• Residency within the service area required.
• Must obtain Food Protection Manager (FPM) within 14 days of employment and FSM/LTC-FSM within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the food service program at a single site, ensuring quality dining and compliance with menus and regulations.
• Lead and support the food service team to meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment; use HCSG software for reporting.
• Conduct staff training, quality control, and in-service sessions; perform dietary aide, cook, and dishwasher duties as needed.
• Communicate directives from client managers, building occupants, and administrators to staff.
