Job summary

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) seeks a Food Service Director to lead the dining department at a long-term care facility. You will oversee quality and safety, manage records, and supervise staff across roles from dietary aide to cook.

The role emphasizes training, communication with client managers, and adherence to infection control and sanitation practices to ensure exceptional resident experiences.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in food service management or hospitality or related coursework preferred.
• Two years of experience in quantity food production/service and personnel supervision preferred.
• CDM certification preferred or as required by state and county law.
• Must obtain FPM within 14 days of employment and FSM/LTC-FSM within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the food service team to meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain records of income, expenditures, food supplies, personnel, and equipment using HCSG software.
• Conduct staff training, quality control, and in-service sessions; perform roles as needed.
• Communicate directives from client managers, building occupants, and administrators to staff.
• Follow infection control, universal precautions, and proper sanitation procedures.
• Represent HCSG positively through courteous interactions with supervisors, staff, residents, and guests.
• All other duties as assigned.

Education
