Job summary

The State of South Carolina Department of Social Services is seeking a CWS Case Manager to perform case management and concurrent planning within Adoptions. You will engage families, coordinate with legal partners, and maintain comprehensive documentation to ensure safety, permanency, and well-being for children and families.

Responsibilities include on-call duties, adherence to policy, and collaboration with the Family Permanency Plan and GPS Practice Model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Social Work, Behavioral Science, or Social Science.
• Bachelor's in any field with 1 year related experience acceptable.
• Master's degree may be preferred for selected positions.

Responsibilities

• Perform case management and concurrent planning for child welfare and adoptions.
• Engage families and professionals with empathy and timely responses.
• Collaborate with legal to promote timely permanency and follow court orders.
• Maintain case records and ensure CAPSS documentation meets standards.
• Complete required trainings and maintain child welfare certification.
• Participate in and facilitate child and family team meetings.
• Attend on-call duties as assigned and adhere to safety policies.
