Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Social Services seeks a CWS Case Manager - Foster Care in Union County to perform case management, concurrent planning, and ensure safety and permanency for children and families. You will collaborate with Child and Family Teams and engage in on-call duties as assigned.

Responsibilities include maintaining accurate case records in CAPSS, coordinating with legal when needed, and completing 20 hours of annual training to maintain child welfare certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Behavioral Science, or Social Science is required.
• Master's degree or higher in relevant field preferred.
• Driver's license required; ability to operate a motor vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Perform case management and concurrent planning in Foster Care.
• Collaborate with Child and Family Teams to develop permanency plans.
• Maintain case records per DSS policy and CAPSS system.
• Participate in legal proceedings when required.
• Complete 20 hours of training yearly.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Behavioral Science, or Social Science

Bachelor's degree in any other field and one year experience in a related field

Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Behavioral Science, or Social Science
