Job summary

State of South Carolina, York County, seeks a CWS Case Manager - Family Preservation to provide time-limited interventions, assess safety, and coordinate services for children, families, and vulnerable adults. You will engage families empathetically, facilitate team meetings, and document case activity per policy.

Responsibilities include using FAST, collaborating with legal when needed, maintaining records, and pursuing ongoing staff training to ensure quality service delivery and timely

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Behavioral Science, or Social Science.
• Bachelor's Degree in any other field with one year of related experience.
• Master's degree may be preferred for some positions in Child Welfare.

Responsibilities

• Perform case management in the Child Welfare area following policy and practice model.
• Complete and update FAST and develop Family Permanency Plans with timely referrals.
• Engage families with empathy, respond to communications, and facilitate family team meetings.
• Maintain clear case records per policy and CAPSS reporting timelines.
• Collaborate with legal when safety concerns require action and support permanency.
• Maintain child welfare certification and complete required training annually.
• Promote staff well-being and manage secondary trauma through supportive practices.
• Perform Red Cross shelter or other emergency shelter duties as directed.
• Perform other duties as required.
