Job summary

South Carolina Department of Social Services seeks a CWS Case Manager to perform case management and concurrent planning in the Adoptions area. Responsibilities include engaging with families, coordinating with legal, and ensuring safety and well-being per policy.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Social Work or related field with relevant experience; Master’s degree may be preferred for selected positions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or higher.
• 1 year experience in related field if degree is in another field.
• New hire may require Master’s Degree per position.
• Must possess valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Perform case management and concurrent planning in Child Welfare Adoptions.
• Maintain case records and documentation per policy.
• Engage families and professionals with empathy and respect; facilitate CFT meetings.
• Collaborate with legal to promote timely permanency and participate in proceedings.
• Complete required training and maintain certifications in child welfare.
