Job summary

The State of South Carolina's Department of Social Services seeks a CWS Case Manager to perform case management and concurrent planning in Foster Care, coordinating with Child and Family Teams to develop individualized, strength-based family permanency plans and monitor safety and well-being.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Behavioral Science, or Social Science and relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Behavioral Science, or Social Science required.
• One year of related field experience if degree is in another field.

Responsibilities

• Performs case management and concurrent planning to ensure safety, permanency and well-being.
• Utilizes FAST to develop Family Permanency Plans and referrals.
• Engages families and partners with empathy; facilitates team meetings.
• Maintains comprehensive case records per policy and uses CAPSS system.
• Collaborates with legal when safety concerns exist or legal action is needed.
• Maintains professional development and trauma-informed care practices.
