Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma supplemented with additional training and related work experience or any equivalent combination providing the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Interview applicants to determine eligibility for assistance and re-determines continuing eligibility.
• Explain nature of temporary assistance programs and determine reasons and need for assistance.
• Process applications for financial assistance and diversion; explain client responsibilities, rights and program availability.
• Evaluate data for consistency and completeness and substantiate accuracy.
• Compute assistance plans and determine need for allowances for special circumstances.
• Evaluate social factors such as education, work experience and levels of functioning.
