Job summary

University Settlement Society of New York is seeking a Program Director to provide strategic oversight of after-school programs at one site, ensuring high-quality academic support and enrichment for children and families. You will supervise staff, maintain DOH SACC compliance, lead curriculum development, and coordinate with DOE, parents, and community partners to strengthen student outcomes.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree, 2–3 years supervisory experience, and a commitment to youth

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Experience in an administrative role within after-school or community programs.
• Minimum 2–3 years supervising staff with leadership responsibilities.
• Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities; crisis intervention skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and data reporting.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic direction and oversee program development for after-school programs.
• Manage day-to-day site operations for smooth program delivery.
• Maintain compliance with funder regulations and DOH SACC standards.
• Supervise, coach, and evaluate staff; conduct annual evaluations.
• Lead recruitment and hiring processes with HR compliance.
• Coordinate with DOE staff, school administrators, and community partners.
• Ensure accurate attendance and data reporting; maintain program files.
• Oversee curriculum development and staff training to support growth.
