Job summary

SCO Family of Services is seeking a Program/Site Director to manage day-to-day operations at a Brooklyn site, ensuring an engaging, academically challenging program aligned with NY State standards. The role oversees staff, curriculum, data reporting, and collaboration with schools and community partners.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in education or related field, plus supervisory experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, Child Development, or related field.
• Minimum two years direct experience working with children under 13.
• Minimum one year in supervisory capacity.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with curriculum development experience.
• Knowledge of child development and enrichment programming.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate program at site during after-school hours and school breaks.
• Provide and maintain materials and resources for the SCO program.
• Coordinate special events with the Education Specialist.
• Facilitate relationships with schools and offsite staff.
• Recruitment and retention strategies to maximize served children.
• Support on-site staff via supervision and evaluations.
• Lead regular staff meetings to ensure quality programming.
• Supervise and support on-site staff in daily tasks.
• Conduct trainings and observe on-site staff.
• Interview and hire candidates for open positions.
• Provide crisis intervention and referrals when needed.
• Maintain data reporting for agency and funders.
• Maintain documentation and confidential files.
• Generate monthly reports.
• Participate in department meetings and trainings.
• Represent the agency in meetings with external partners.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
