Carle Health is hiring an Imaging Scheduling Specialist I in Urbana, IL. You will screen, schedule, and direct patients to appropriate imaging locations and services, ensuring smooth coordination of the department workflow.

Key duties include handling incoming calls, guiding patients through imaging procedures, discussing fees per ABN guidelines, and maintaining accurate schedules with prompt rescheduling of cancelled appointments. A associate degree or equivalent office experience is required.

Competenze

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Experience with scheduling/office environments preferred.
• Strong communication skills for patient interaction.
• Familiarity with imaging procedures and ABN guidance is a plus.

Mansioni

• Receives all incoming phone calls and facilitates the scheduling of imaging procedures.
• Provides patients with division-specific patient education materials to ensure they are prepared for scheduled tests/procedures.
• Conducts financial discussion with patients and/or provider's office regarding fees for imaging procedures according to ABN and pre-authorization guidelines.
• Maintains department patient schedule, ensures blocks are full and cancelled appointments are rescheduled.
