Job summary

Piedmont HealthCare is seeking a Business Services Scheduler in Statesville, NC to liaison between patients, physician offices, and imaging centers. You will schedule studies, relay prep information, obtain pre-authorizations, and help resolve account issues.

The role requires at least a high school diploma and at least two years in imaging, hospital, or physician office settings, with strong communication and HIPAA knowledge.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Associates degree preferred in Business, Finance, Health Information Management, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in Imaging Department, Hospital or Physician Office.
• Experience with Reception, Scheduler, MOA, CMA or RT not currently in patient-facing duties.
• Professional communicator.

Responsibilities

• Schedule imaging studies and inform referring offices and patients of prep requirements.
• Provide clear instructions regarding imaging study requirements.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and physician offices.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state billing regulations including HIPAA.
• Coordinate with satellite offices to research and configure activity in patient accounts (visits, coding, billing).
• Assist with all customer service related functions to grow business and maintain positive patient relations.
