Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking an attentive Scheduling/Registration Clerk for the Medical Imaging department. You will handle inbound and outbound calls to schedule imaging procedures, collect patient demographics, verify insurance, and register families for services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; some college preferred.
• Minimum two years of call center or healthcare experience.
• Some knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word/Outlook.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Answer phone calls for imaging modalities and schedule/register appointments.
• Facilitate scheduling of imaging procedures with internal/external providers.
• Verify patient demographics and insurance eligibility; complete registration as needed.
• Transcribe external imaging orders in Epic from faxes; schedule as requested.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and assist training as needed.
