Job summary

Vail Health is seeking a detail- oriented Pre-Registration Clerk to support scheduling and patient intake. You will verify demographics and insurance, create accurate Pre-Registration encounters, and maintain thorough documentation of outreach attempts.

Responsibilities include coordinating with clinic teams, ensuring data accuracy, and providing excellent phone customer service. Prior admitting or clerical experience plus basic computer skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and phone etiquette required.
• Previous admitting or clerical experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Must have basic computer skills and typing ability, with proficiency in Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Verify demographics and insurance information to create Pre-Registration encounters for scheduled procedures.
• Create complete Pre-Registration accounts for all scheduled appointments.
• Document contact attempts and schedule follow-up calls with appropriate dates.
• Coordinate with clinic staff, providers and schedulers when out of the office to ensure scheduling activity continues smoothly.
• Demonstrate clear communication and maintain patient-facing professionalism.
