Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an Imaging Scheduling Specialist I to manage incoming calls and coordinate imaging appointments within the Imaging Department. The role requires coordinating patient education materials and aligning with ABN and pre-authorization processes.

The position also involves maintaining a full department schedule and promptly rescheduling any cancelled slots to optimize patient flow and access to imaging services.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required or equivalent experience.
• Experience in lieu of formal education accepted.

Responsibilities

• Receives all incoming phone calls and facilitates the scheduling of imaging procedures.
• Provides patients with division specific patient education materials to ensure they are prepared for scheduled tests/procedures.
• Conducts financial discussion with patients and/or provider's office regarding fees for imaging procedures according to ABN and pre-authorization guidelines.
• Maintains department patient schedule, ensures blocks are full and cancelled appointments are rescheduled.
