Job summary

Northfield Hospital + Clinics is seeking an Imaging Support Specialist to coordinate scheduling for imaging exams and provide exceptional customer service. The role includes greeting patients, preparing orders, handling communications, and ensuring accurate records for the Diagnostic department.

Responsibilities include obtaining authorizations, coordinating with radiology staff, and assisting in patient preparation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Solid computer skills are required.
• Medical Terminology preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and professional demeanor.
• Ability to set priorities and work independently as well as in a team.

Responsibilities

• Schedules tests, procedures, and appointments.
• Prepares and maintains an accurate clinical department records.
• Organizes the daily schedule for patient testing.
• Handles department communications, greeting patients and visitors, and telephone communications.
• Communicates with patient care team members to plan patient care services.
