Job summary

Atlantic Health Morristown, NJ seeks a Scheduler I to handle high-volume patient scheduling across imaging and referrals. You will verify demographics, insurance info, complete registrations in Epic, and coordinate between patients and providers.

This is a full-time, day shift role with emphasis on accuracy and timely responses. Qualifications include 0–3 years' experience, HS diploma, and EPIC EMR familiarity; Associate/Bachelor's preferred; radiology clinic experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of prior experience.
• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• All legally/reasonably expected certifications needed for function and level.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Call Center experience in Radiology imaging location preferred.
• EMR experience, preferably EPIC.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming calls, SMS, web requests and schedule appointments.
• Process inbound scheduling requests via fax or electronic queues.
• Promote patient portal usage and connect to registration resources.
• Ensure patients know upcoming appointment details at scheduling.
• Complete face sheets with demographics and insurance information.
• Update accounts for medical and financial eligibility in Epic queues.
• Coordinate with patient and physician to obtain missing information.
• Perform real-time insurance verification and communicate financial responsibility.
• Solicit customer feedback and support revenue cycle goals.
• Escalate errors and report to supervisor for training opportunities.
• Maintain knowledge of insurance requirements.
• Complete required trainings and attend meetings.
