Job summary

Livingston HealthCare in Livingston, MT is seeking a Patient Access Specialist - Imaging (PRN) to greet patients, collect demographics and insurance data, and register them for imaging services. You will support scheduling, coordinate appointments, and serve as a primary resource for PACS and teleradiology systems.

The role requires strong customer service, basic computer skills, and the ability to navigate electronic medical records.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
One year of customer service experience preferred.
Knowledge of electronic medical records and payment systems.
Mature personality, integrity and attention to detail.
Positive attitude and flexibility during routine workday.
Well-groomed, tactful, professional and customer focused.

Responsibilities

Greets patients and families in the department.
Prepares admission/registration paperwork and collects demographic and financial information; answers calls into Imaging.
Schedules and coordinates appointments ensuring patient needs and manages flow using scheduling protocols.
Schedules complex orders for Imaging services and instructs patients on preparations.
Educates patients on medically necessary waivers and obtains signatures.
Coordinates the electronic medical record of the Imaging patient.
Cross-trains to work in Patient Access; introduces PACS as needed; analyzes basic inquiries with Imaging team.
