Qualifications

• Six months of customer service experience involving interactions with customers.
• Basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
• Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with patients and fellow caregivers to deliver the highest level of customer/patient satisfaction.
• Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and PHI of patients, members, and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check-in/out patients and resolve intake-related needs.
• Document calls in the EMR accurately and completely.
• Schedule patient appointments for visits, procedures, diagnostic tests, referrals, and/or consultations.
• Register patients by confirming and updating demographic data in the registration system.
• Obtain copies of insurance cards and identifiers and verify information as needed.
• Educate patients on financial assistance and process payments.
• Stay current on role responsibilities and attend meetings when required.
