Job summary

Shady Grove Medical Center—part of Adventist HealthCare—is looking for an Imaging Services Coordinator to manage scheduling, pre-authorizations, and communications with physicians and staff. The role requires knowledge of imaging protocols and CPT/ICD coding, with 2+ years in imaging or related customer-facing roles.

The position offers full-time hours, on-site work, and potential travel to physician offices.

Qualifications

• High school or GED required.
• 2+ years’ experience in Imaging or customer support/marketing or prior authorization/precertification.
• Knowledge of imaging exams and protocols.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to travel and visit physician offices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Centralized Scheduling, confirm appointments and gather demographic and insurance data.
• Obtain pre-authorizations for physician orders as required by insurance.
• Communicate with physicians and staff on reimbursement and pre-certification requirements.
• Notify front office and imaging staff about denials requiring rescheduling or peer-to-peer review.
• Identify process gaps and drive closure; build relationships with physicians.
