Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Exquisite customer service skills and knowledge of payer and managed care requirements.
• Minimum 35-wpm typing, data entry and math skills.
• Knowledge of HIPAA laws and forms and front desk compliance.

Responsibilities

• Obtain billing documentation and authorizations for imaging exams.
• Interview patients to collect accurate demographic and insurance information.
• Verify eligibility and benefits with the patient payor.
• Schedule exams and manage scheduling for multiple modalities.
• Process subpoenas and medical records requests; mail or fax exam reports.
• Collect patient co-pays and/or account payments.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality across the front desk.
