State of Georgia is seeking an Identity and Driver Credential Specialist 1 in LaGrange to support the Department of Driver Services. You will handle learner permits, license issuance, identity credentials and related exams while upholding state regulations and delivering courteous, accurate service to a diverse public.

This full-time role emphasizes attention to detail, patience and effective interaction with customers.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
• Completion of a high school diploma or GED is required.
• A valid Georgia Class C or equivalent License is required and must be maintained while employed in this position.
• At least one (1) year of Face-to-face Customer Service experience within the last five years
• At least one (1) year of Face-to-face experience with cash transactions including handling cash, daily reconciliation, and processing credit card payments within the last five years.
• Comfortable working with computer and internet technology.

Responsibilities

• Working with citizens to ensure applications, records and documents are completed accurately.
• Accompanying drivers in vehicles, both in a traditional and virtual capacity, to evaluate their ability to adhere to Georgia’s driving laws.
• Conducting driving examinations for motorcycle and commercial licenses in accordance with state law and regulations.
• Operating visual testing equipment.
• Accurately collecting payments via cash or credit cards.
