Job summary

Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) is seeking an Identity and Driver Credential Specialist 1 in the Columbus area to issue learner permits, convert out-of-state licenses, issue licenses, and manage identity cards following state law. You will join a high-volume center with emphasis on accuracy, customer service, and compliance.

The role offers a structured career path within the DDS, including mobility promotions and a $3,500 supplement for MSA centers, with flexible work arrangements

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• A valid Georgia Class C or equivalent license is required and must be maintained while employed.
• At least one year of face-to-face customer service experience within the last five years.
• At least one year of face-to-face experience with cash transactions within the last five years.
• Comfortable working with computer and internet technology.

Responsibilities

• Help applicants ensure applications, records and documents are completed accurately.
• Accompany drivers in vehicles to evaluate adherence to Georgia driving laws.
• Conduct driving examinations for motorcycle and commercial licenses per state rules.
• Operate visual testing equipment and collect payments by cash or card.
